A Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Raju has been in private practice since 2003. She has clinical expertise in the treatment of many psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to Major Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, ADHD, OCD, Eating Disorders, PTSD, and Schizophrenia.
Dr. Raju received her B.S. from Mississippi College in 1990, and her D.O. at Des Moines University Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa in 1994. She was awarded The Clinical Family Practice Award in 1994. After completing her first year of Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Iowa/ Iowa Methodist Medical Center, she went on to complete her Psychiatry Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Raju served as Chief Resident and was awarded "Outstanding Resident of the Year" in her final year of Residency in 1999 at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Raju served as Medical Director for the Altshuler Clinic of Dallas Metrocare Services and Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Texas Arlington School of Nursing before pursuing private practice. She was Co-President of the Dallas Areas Women Psychiatrists organization from 2016-2018. She is a member of the Collin Fannin Medical Society, The Texas Medical Association, Texas Indo American Physicians Society, and American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
Dr. Raju was honored to have been chosen by her peers as one of D Magazine's Best Doctors of Collin County in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, & 2024 as well as Best Doctors of Dallas County in 2021, 2022, 2023, & 2024. She has served as a Frisco ISD Independent Study Mentor and on the Board of her local chapter of National Charity League.
Dr. Raju lives in Collin County with her husband, daughters, and rescues (miniature schnauzer and a shepherd mix). Her interests include books, crafts, photography, and her favorite- traveling.
